What a week we have had here at Bleyl with our first round of testing. Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade students who truly tried their best on all their tests! I know our students gave the extra one degree needed to achieve phenomenal results. Not only did they give 100% on taking the test, their behavior was better than could have been expected. Our 6th-grade students worked hard on Tuesday with their math practice test, and they walked quietly through the halls on Wednesday to show respect for others who were still testing. It was obvious that our students understood the importance of these tests and truly wanted everyone to be successful. I also want to recognize the great job our staff has done in preparing our students to be successful. As we get results from our 6th-grade practice STAAR Math test and from our first round of 8th-grade testing, we will communicate with our students regarding the next steps to fill-in any learning gaps we see.
Parents: Please talk with your students regarding student safety. With a school of 1500 students, we must remember appropriate ways of dealing with conflict and the steps that are in place for students to report any concerns. Let’s keep Bleyl the best middle school in the district. GO BRAHMAS! Thank you, Stacia Carew Principal
