The 75th Anniversary Arts & Literary Book, Celebrating Creativity, is available through the 75th Anniversary E-store for $25. Students whose visual and written work was published in the book will be honored at the Arts & Literary reception on Feb. 3.
Jan. 26, 2015—A reception honoring all student contributors for the 75th Anniversary Arts & Literary Book is set for Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at 6 p.m. at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).
The reception will pay tribute to the approximately 1,000 students who contributed visual and written content for the CFISD 75th Anniversary Arts & Literary Book, Celebrating Creativity, currently available for purchase.
The event will feature light hors d’oeuvres and cupcakes created by students in the CFISD Culinary Academy. Dr. Cheryl Salyards, namesake of Salyards Middle School, will serve as the event emcee. Speeches will be given by Dr. Mark Henry, superintendent of schools; Sarah Sanders, district art coordinator; and Ami Ruby, secondary English/language arts coordinator.
The published students representing every district campus and their families will be publicly recognized for their excellent work, featured in the 215-page, 12-by-18-inch perfect bound glossy book.
The commemorative book, celebrating 75 years of creativity produced by talented students in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, is on sale for $25 at the reception, in the community programs office at the Cy-Fair Annex (22602 Northwest Freeway) or in the communication office at the Instructional Support Center (10300 Jones Road) with check (payable to CFISD 75) or money order. The book may also be purchased online with an additional shipping charge.
